  • We are thrilled to introduce Power Pair, a new initiative from Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital that connects Girl Scouts with phenomenal women leaders for a one-on-one experience!

    Additional technical details:

    • The program is open to Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (8th – 12th grades).
    • Engagement opportunities can take place seven days a week.
    • Girl Scouts will be paired with a woman leader based on their area of interest (ie. medical, arts, business, advocacy, STEM).

  • Power Pair gives you the opportunity to design a memorable engagement with a young person. This doesn’t have to be limited to traditional job shadowing, workplace, or career path formats— it can be as unique as you are! You might host a Girl Scout for a day in your office, take her with you to a meeting, and then for coffee or tea, or invite her to a private club and share stories of your most meaningful ventures that led you to this place. Retired leaders might reflect on lessons learned throughout their careers. And artists, advocates, and changemakers might open doors to the worlds they shape – doing a backstage tour of a play, a peek behind the scenes of a community project, or just an afternoon of thoughtful conversation about making an impact. We’re not wed to a format. What matters most is the chance to reflect on your journey and pass on your knowledge, perspective, and life lessons to the Girl Scouts!

    Think about something you would have loved and valued when you were younger. We know our network can open fascinating opportunities that spark imagination and confidence in our Girl Scouts. We also know that each engagement, whether rooted in professional expertise, creative projects, or lifelong community contributions, will bring knowledge, joy, and connection to both of you!
