  • Girl Scouts Nation's Capital Community-Based Camps - Summer 2026

    Youth Application - Camper, Teen Staff, Staff Kid

  • Community-based day camps are introductory programs designed for girls in grades K-5 to introduce them to Girl Scouting.  Teens are also needed to serve in leadership positions in the camp.  All girls will become registered members of Girl Scouts of the USA when enrolling in a community-based camp.

    At camp girls explore Girl Scouting through arts and crafts, songs, games, STEM activities, Girl Scout traditions and so much more!

    After you complete and submit the form you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail.

     

    Category Grade (2025-2026) Membership Cost
    Camper K-5 Open to those who do not have a current Girl Scout membership and have not participated in another introductory program during the 2025-2026 year. $75.00 but assistance is available.
    Teen Staff 6-12 May or may not have a current Girl Scout membership at the time of application. No cost
    "Staff Kid" K-5 Open to the daughters of adult volunteers who will be working full-time at the camp. May or may not have a current Girl Scout membership. No cost (you'll need the password provided by the membership staff who recruited the adult)

  • The teen staff application is meant to be filled out by BOTH the primary caregiver and the teen.  The last part of the application will ask for the teen's preferences in leadership assignments.

  •  Please select your desired bus stop below or select "by car" if a parent/guardian will be brining your camper to camp.

    The morning pick up and afternoon drop off times are approximate and will be confirmed in the camper Welcome Packet.

    Some camps do not offer bus service.

    A parent/guardian can not be the emergency point of contact! Only provide information on people who have authorization to pick up your child. All adults are required to show a photo identification card to pick up a camper.

  • We need Teen Staff/Aides in centers and units.  In a center you would plan activities and teach groups of girls as they rotate through the center.  Center aides meet with the Camp Director several times before camp begins (in addition to the regular training dates) to plan the activities, order supplies, etc.  In a unit you would be working with a group of girls for the week.
