  • Important information regarding this year's Fall Core Camp Lottery:

    1. Lottery will be open for troop submissions beginning on Monday, March 9th at 10:00am through Friday, April 3rd at 11:59pm.

    2. Placement notifications will be sent on Monday, April 6th-April 24th.

    3. Please submit only one submission per troop. If any changes need to be made prior to the end of the lottery period, please submit a new submission and the previous one will be deleted.

    4. All notifications regarding your troop's lottery submission and placement notifications will be sent to the email provided below.

    5. All Core Camp attendees must have active 2026 Girl Scout Memberships by the start of the Core Camp. Members not registered with 2026 memberships by the start of the camp will not be eligible to attend.

    6. For all Core Camps, troops must provide their own Cookout/Campout certified adult as well as a separate First Aid certified adult.

    7.Space is limited, so please keep adult participants to the limits set by the chart below. A general rule of thumb is 1:2 for Daisies, 1:3 for Brownies and Juniors, and 1:4 for Cadettes and older. Requests for additional adults will be considered if you explain your troop's need on this lottery form.

    8. Each Core Camp is only available for certain program levels. The required grades are for the grades your troop members will be in for the 2026-2027 school year. Please make note of the grades the event is geared towards. Any submission received that your troop is not elligible for due to the grade level of your troop will be removed from the lottery.

    9. All Core Camp options for Fall 2026 can be viewed at the bottom of this page. Details include dates, location, grades, costs.

    10. Scholarships are available to help cover registration cost after your troop is accepted. Scholarships are available to individuals or entire troops, and to both youth and adults. Scholarships are funded by the Girl Scout Promise fund.

      Aquasco Teen Encampment (Grades 6-12)

      Mentor Mountain Retreat - Brownies (Grades 2-3)

      Location: Camp Potomac Woods | Leesburg, VA
      Cost: Girl Scouts $70| Adults $55
      Description: Brownies - Come earn fun outdoor badges taught by Girl Scout Volunteers, Junior Scouts and Cadette scouts. You will get the full camp experience of Girl Scout friends, campfires, smores, and try your hand at archery while earning 2-3 badges.

      Mentor Mountain Retreat - Juniors (Grades 4-5)

      Location: Camp Potomac Woods | Leesburg, VA

      Description: Juniors - Come earn your True North Award and your Junior Aide Award by camping and learning how to guide a small group of Brownies through a badge. You will get the full camp experience of Girl Scout friends, campfires, smores, and try your hand at archery while learning and showing off your leadership skills.

      Clues, Codes, and Campfires (Grades 2-5)

      Location: Camp Crowell | Oakton, VA

      Description: Calling all secret agents! Campers will train in spy skills, crack codes, follow hidden clues, and complete action-packed missions. Girls will try archery and slingshots, cook over the campfire, and build teamwork, confidence, and earn badges.

      Zombie Survival Camp (Grades 2-5)
      Date: Oct 16-18
      Location: Camp Winona | Hughesville, MD

      Description: Brownies and Juniors will show how courageous and strong they are as they train to survive the zombie apocalypse! Girls will complete missions, build skills, work as a team, and save the world from the undead!

      Pumpkin Patch (Grades K-3)

      Description: Calling all Daisies and Brownies, join us for the Girl Scouts Pumpkin Patch! This will be a weekend to give ‘em pumpkin to talk about. Make s'mores, do slingshots, arts and crafts, and going on a special secret hike. Gourd vibes only for this adventure weekend!

      Art and Adventure in the Outdoors (Grades K-5)
      Date: Sept 25-27
      Location: Brighton Woods | Brookeville, MD
      Cost: Girl Scouts $85 | Adults $55
      Description: Calling all Daisies, Brownies and Juniors! Come join us for Art in the Park (or in this case, at Camp). We will be doing some arts and crafts, slingshots and archery and of course, making s'mores while learning basic camping skills and earning 2-3 badges.
