Join us for Home Base, a special family day at camp celebrating Veterans Day and the military families who serve, support, and sacrifice together.
Created as part of Girl Scouts Nation's Capital's Salute to Service programming, Home Base is a chance for military families to spend the day together, enjoy camp, and connect with other families in a fun and welcoming setting.
Families will be able to choose their own adventures throughout the day, with opportunities to explore the outdoors, take on camp challenges, get creative, play games, and simply enjoy time together. Activities may include outdoor adventures, family challenges, arts and crafts, games, a family scavenger hunt, and other camp experiences.
We'll also take time to recognize and celebrate veterans, service members, and the families who stand alongside them. The day will wrap up with games, music, and time to celebrate the community we've built together.
Whether your family is new to camp or already considers it a favorite place, Home Base is a chance to make memories, try something new, and celebrate Veterans Day together.
